A Sanctuary of Solace:

A gathering of human and more than human to be and become

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN. WE BEGIN 12 SEPTEMBER 2025

Inspired by the Irish Wisdom Tradition, join us for bi-weekly gatherings, over the course of the Wheel of the Year (a full year) to find a place of sanctuary (Irish tearmann) from the stresses of modernity and the times we are living through together.  Discover solace (Irish sólás) in the embrace of community with human and more than human ones: the sacred trees and plants, the well and wise ancestors, the land and the goddesses of the Irish Tuatha de Danaan.

Come together to be ensconced by the sacred, to come into intimacy with the cosmos and the ancient cycles, to remember who you are in a world that wants you to forget.  Come together to learn rituals and rites to send out into your own communities: the resonance of what we do together, having a ripple effect in the world, we believe.

We will gather in our online sanctuary for two hours, two times per month.  Each season we will ally with a more than human guide including a sacred tree for the season of Lughnasa (September- October), an ancestor, named or unnamed, for the season of Samhain (November- January), a native and wild plant for the season of Imbolc (February- April) and a goddess of the Tuatha de Danaan for the season of Bealtaine (May- July).

We will write spells and odes and love letters, we will sink deep into words of poetry and myth.  We will be guided into vision journeys and move together to embrace our strong and beautiful bodies.  We will practice rituals and honor the movements of the cosmos within and without.

This is a space of grace for women and women-identifying folks.

GATHERINGS:

We will meet for two hours, two times per month: A Saturday morning (10- noon MT USA) and a Friday evening (5 -7 PM MT USA)

All sessions will be recorded and sent with 24 hours of our gatherings although because it is so important to gather live in community to weave the threads of solace, we hope you are able to attend as many as possible in person.

We begin 12 September!

Your guides for Sanctuary of Solace are Tonja Reichley and Charlene Ray.

Tonja has been living in the seaside village of Kinvara, in the west of Ireland, for almost 20 years, connecting to the wisdom of the land and their sacred places: the holy wells and sacred springs, the beloved trees and hedgerow herbs.  She has been leading sacred journeys to Ireland for many years, weaving in myth, ritual and herbal co-creation.

Charlene divides her time between the beautiful  landscape of the Pacific Northwest of the US and her soul’s home, Ireland. She is a grief tender and student of the Art of Dying where she guides others to access their own inner wisdom in sacred relationships with the more than human world.
