About Me

Daily prayers are delivered on the lips of breaking waves, the whisperings of grasses, the shimmering of leaves.

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that trees and animals were teachers. It was almost like they had a special connection with God that humans couldn’t quite achieve. The realization that I could communicate with these beings came quite early and then got tucked away for safe keeping.

Then, my father died when I was just 13 leaving a gaping hole in my heart. I decided then that I would someday become either a Pastor or a Social Worker so that I could help other young people who were experiencing the same kind of pain.

I graduated with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois in 1985. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and have been in practice as a therapist, mentor and guide for 33 years.

Moving to Whidbey Island in 1992 was life changing and reopened my earliest connections with the natural world. I met one of my spiritual teachers, the late Janine Ellison, who guided and mentored me on the path to becoming a shamanic practitioner. I have studied with many teachers and learned many tools and techniques along the way — from traditional psychotherapy to alternative methods like alchemical healing, guided imagery, voice dialogue, mindfulness-based therapy, nature-based soul work and vision quest.

I blend all of these traditions and techniques together, along with my intuitive and Spirit-led work, to create an individualized and powerful experience for each of my clients.

I look forward to
working with you!
