Weaving the Threads of Sacred Alchemy: Mixed Media Soul Collage

Sunday, November 4, 2018
10 am to 4 pm

Story house, whidbey institute, 6449 old pietila Road, clinton, WA 98236

You are invited to step into a sacred, playful, safe and creative space with Charlene Ray, spiritual mentor, Nature guide and counselor, and Robin Barre, depth psychologist, poet and art journaler. During our time together, we will begin with the beauty of the land around us to inspire and ground us. We will then move inward, seeking and weaving the threads of images and words.

"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."

Program

Charlene will invite you to spend time walking in the forests, writing and reflecting, and opening to the muse within. Then you will be guided by Robin to explore and play with mixed media collage, creating a lovely journal page as you begin the soul collage process. Mixed Media Soul Collage is an alchemical meander and weaving among body, image and word. It requires no prior experience or artistic knowledge. Robin will guide you through a variety of basic mixed media techniques and the imaginal, embodied, creative process.

Come as you are and allow the process to take you where you need to go!

You will leave with a list of suggested materials, resources and ideas to continue this practice at home.
